The story of a busy, happy, crazy, overweight Mum of 6 and Mamgu (Welsh for granny) and how she takes on the challenge of becoming a (sort of) runner. Not born to run but trying to juggle being wife/mum/work/craft and making time for running so this is an adventure. The call of the forest and hills grows as I get older and I love being outdoors. My most important stable is my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Winning Scrap Bag Challange
Our local textile artist - Linda Woodfield (www.linda-woodfield.co.uk) is holding an exhibition of upcycled items. Things rescued from the scrap heap and given a new lease of life. There were some fantastic entrants. The children and I put things in various categories and to our delight and surprise my daughter and I won first prize in two of the catogories. I won the household category with my recovered chair (top picture) and my daughter won with her scrap quilt (top picture). My 4th son made the blue scrap quilt, youngest son made the sock monkey and daughter made the hat.
We are really thrilled to have won. What a good start to the day. Just hope that the 10k makes me feel just as happy.
